MULTI-HYPHENATE | AUTEUR | DEITY

SINGER-SONGWRITER | PRODUCER | COMPOSER | SOUND ENGINEER | MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST

It’s impossible to hear the name London Beck without thinking of words like “innovative,” “ambitious,” and “auteur.” Beck is a multi-talented recording artist hailing from Southeast Michigan. As a singer, songwriter, producer, composer, sound engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, Beck stands out as a leader among a new generation of creatives who don’t just perform—they craft every detail of their storytelling soundscapes. With each release, Beck showcases an evolving mastery of music, offering insights into their unique creative vision and the industry's future.

After a revitalizing rebrand, Beck released “Blinded by Hunger” in 2018. Following that, they honed their craft with the “Revelations EP” later that year and “Drift EP” in 2019. 2020 marked a new era for Beck with the launch of “ANGXL”, a concept album inspired by the seven deadly sins and Beck’s religious upbringing. Their artistry garnered attention with the Misfit Toys Lookbook in 2019, alongside a feature in the Detroit Metro Times as a staff pick by Ann Arbor’s Blind Pig venue. Beck was poised for greatness—then the world came to a halt.

Yet, London Beck persisted. They performed at Ypsi Pride in June 2020, and by November, they became one of the first fellows of the Amplify Project, an initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of local BIPOC creatives through community engagement. This opportunity led to the creation of The Black Satin Sessions, an emotional exploration of growth and self-realization amid a pandemic, now streaming on all major platforms. Beck’s live performances continued into the summer of 2021, gracing stages at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival and The Ark for Ann Arbor’s Art Fair. Later that year, Beck was crowned Best New Artist in Washtenaw County by Current Magazine. In 2022, they debuted their first full orchestra composition, Lever De Soleil Cramoisi, in collaboration with the Skyline High School Symphony Orchestra. This collaboration also opened the door for the debut of another piece, Tapestry, derived from a childhood song passed down through generations in London’s family.

After a brief hiatus, London Beck returned in a refreshed, nuanced capacity. Along with continuing work on their latest album Vengeance Be Mine, Beck launched Renivere Recording, a production company and exclusive record label, in January 2024. Renivere represents the next chapter in Beck’s journey, committed to empowering artists and fostering a safe, creative space for visionaries. Beck’s impact extends into their community through a partnership with the Amplify Project, aimed at extending safe, creative spaces to others across Southeast Michigan. In June 2024, Beck made their official return to the music scene with a live performance and interview for the web series The Seven Series.

Whether they’re pushing the boundaries of music or uplifting others in their community (Beck is also a classically trained violist and former private teacher), London is steadily laying the groundwork for a movement that champions those labeled “other.” Beck ensures there’s a space for everyone, unapologetically and permanently.

With their talent, vision, and drive, London Beck is poised to keep shattering ceilings.
